High time for an update! Herbie (Madison Avenue) was very brave and grown up when competing at the Addington Winter Regionals and came 5th, 8th and 9th at Novice and Elementary levels. He and Sue are having a very good summer season so far, having already qualified for the Novice and Elementary summer Regional Championships, collecting some good percentages along the way! In June he has just won a hat trick of Elementary tests with a 72%, a 72.5% and his best score to date at the level of 74.48%. He is now moving up to Medium level with a score of over 67%, coming second only to Damian Hallam! It wont be long before he moves on to Advanced Medium.
Herbie and Sue are continuing to train 2 days each month with Carl Hester who is both inspirational and totally invaluable! The weekends in beautiful Gloucestershire staying at Carl’s idyllic yard is Sue’s equivalent of a spa break! (Although the lessons are hard work!)
Pauline James and her Schwadroneur youngster are now moving up to Novice level, having enjoyed much success at Prelim.
Congratulations to Kaye Williams (nee Morris) on her recent marriage to Pat, we wish them all the very best for the future. Kaye is now also training with Sue and Gary with her lovely young horse, Arnie. He is about to start competing.
Well done to Natalie Brown, Nicky Harriosn, Jo Jones, and many others for qualifying for the summer regionals and Hickstead Masters
Finally, ours and Nessie Folwell’s talented 4 year old, Stalgardens Rialto did well in an International Young Horse qualifier recently and Gary will begin competing him shortly.
