Sue and Gary have lived in Kent for the last ten years, having moved from Berkshire where Gary ran one of the most prestigious dressage yards in the South. Sue is a highly respected dressage trainer, rider and list 2A judge. They both have many years of experience in the equine industry behind them .
Sue’s career began successfully showing Arabians, up to and including the National Ridden Champion.. She then trained for her BHS exams with Pat Manning F.B.H.S. International Trainers Club. Having passed her stage IV and Intermediate exams she then trained with Jook Hall, the renowned Olympic dressage rider and Olympic judge, and went on to compete successfully on many horses including Ginny Elliot’s MasterCraftsman and Murphy Himself, working with Ginny’s mentor, Dot Willis. Sue trains regularly with Carl Hester, .
Sue is a popular trainer, having a sympathetic approach whilst acheiving constantly improving percentages in her pupils and consistent winners! Her aim is to produce horses who are “happy athletes” and riders who have a clear understanding and depth of knowledge of the progressive training of the modern dressage horse.
Gary and Sue work together as a team, with Gary focussing particularly on their youngsters, backing and producing calm and confident young horses ready to make their mark in the dressage arena.
Sue also judges throughout the country and abroad, and has been invited to judge at most Regional Championships throughout Britain.
